Bayshore is growing and we are seeking Personal Caregivers who are looking for flexible hours. We offer casual home and community care jobs. Personal Support Worker (PSW) or Health Care Aide (HCA) Certificate is welcome but not required.Available locations: Ajax, ONBayshore is seeking a dedicated Personal Caregiver for overnight shifts 6pm-6am or 6:30pm-6:30am (Certified PSW, Foreign trained nurse with documentation to support, second year RPN Students, third year RN students) who drive and have access to a vehicle to join our amazing team as we continue our 50+ year tradition of providing high-quality care to our community. Some tasks can include personal care and activities of daily living. Homemaking services such as cleaning, cooking, laundry and general household management. Companionship and/or accompanying clients to activities and events in the community.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide homemaking services including, but not limited to cleaning, cooking, laundry and general household managementProvide companionship and/or accompany clients to activities and events in the communityProvide personal care service according to directions on the care planEnsures that the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort and safety of clients are met to the greatest possible extentProvide assistance with client specific activities of daily living (personal assistance tasks)Perform specialized, client specific procedures for which recognized training and current competency can be demonstratedObserve and document client conditions according to company standards; report unusual events or changes in the client’s condition to the immediate Supervisor or to the OfficeUnderstands and implements infection prevention practices.Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activitiesAdhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures.Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company’s Quality Management SystemParticipates in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties.
