Your Opportunity:

Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of individuals facing mental health crises? Alberta Health Services (AHS) and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are teaming up to create impactful change in rural communities, and we’re seeking a dedicated Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) or RN to join our Rural Police and Crisis Team (RPACT) at the Athabasca site. As an integral part of our team, you’ll work alongside an RCMP member to provide vital support to individuals experiencing psychiatric, addictions, or psycho-social crises. Your responsibilities will include conducting risk and mental health assessments, arranging urgent psychiatry assessments, administering medication, and facilitating referrals to community services.

Additionally, you’ll provide consultation and support to other professionals regarding the Mental Health Act of Alberta.
