The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

Goods inwards

· Receive and check deliveries to ensure that the correct amount and type of stock/goods are delivered.

· Check Delivery Notes against the relevant POs and report any discrepancies

· Arrange transport where necessary for goods coming in from manufacturers including customs paperwork

· Pass invoices, delivery notes and transport documents accompanying the goods to the accounts department

Goods outwards

· Assist in the packing up of orders in accordance with the client’s instructions

· Arrange and monitor all outgoing shipments, from preparing packing lists to physically packing items. Reviewing and comparing transportation costs, ensuring the outgoing shipment is accurate, well packed, tracked and delivered on time

General

· Assist in the re-organisation of the warehouse to better reflect current trading

· Ensure that the warehouse remains clean and well-organized.

· Manage the inventory of the warehouse, including all packing and shipping materials

· Assist in the maintenance of stock records of finished goods and raw materials

· Check incoming warehouse materials and organize storage

· Assist in the 6-monthly stock-takes and investigate any significant discrepancies

Skill requirements

· GCSE grade B or equivalent in Maths and English

· Computer literacy – must have working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook

· Physical strength, fitness and dexterity, as the successful applicant will often have to lift heavy packages and sometimes work at elevated heights

· Excellent team-working skills to effectively coordinate with other members of the team

· Good organisational and record-keeping skills and attention to detail

· Ability to build relationships with manufacturers/suppliers to ensure best levels of service and delivery times

· The ability in due course to work under limited supervision

Part -time

Initially 3 days per week with potential to increase to 4 or 5 days dependant on future company growth.

Salary: £21,500 Pro Rata

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 24 per week

Salary: £11,400.00-£12,900.00 per year
