Peabody has an exciting opportunity for a Care Support Worker on either a full or part time, permanent basis based in Peckham, London. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £23,303 per annum. About the Care Support Worker role: As a Care Support Worker, you will be assisting people to live well, be independent and connected to their own community. You will work alongside our Peabody Values and support our customers who have a learning disability and Mental Health to enjoy their lives to the full and have the opportunity to fulfil all their dreams and aspirations. What we’re looking for in our Care Support Worker: A kind, caring and positive attitude The ability to encourage choice and self-worth and inspire our customers whilst supporting them to live their best life A passion for making a real difference to people’s lives The ability to undertake a full range of manual handling tasks, including assistance with personal care, hoists, wheelchairs and general household tasks including shopping Excellent communication skills What you can expect to be doing as our Care Support Worker: Supporting our customers to enjoy recreational activities and explore new adventures Actively participating in personalised support planning, ensuring that the person we support has maximum choice and control in their life Where required, supporting people with all activities of daily living including providing personal care in a way the respects their dignity Bringing ideas and enthusiasm to your role, searching out new and innovative opportunities with the people you support This role will include an element of personal care (prompting with intimate personal care, helping to prepare food, supporting administration of medication and support with their Health and Wellbeing). Driving is not essential, however, you will be expected to support our customers locally on public transport. This role will require an enhanced DBS.
