Guidelines on how to write Personal Statement for Business Marketing

You must upload a statement that explains your academic interest in, understanding of and academic preparedness for the programme(s) you are applying for. You should also explain the purpose objectives of your undertaking the programme(s) you are applying for. The statement of academic purpose is an important part of your application, and selectors are looking for evidence of your academic motivation and suitability, and of what you can contribute academically to the programme.

Your statement(s) should be typed and no longer than two sides of A4 paper. There is no fixed word limit, but we expect statement(s) to be no longer than 1,000 – 1,500 words.

In your statement(s), you may wish to discuss the following:

• Academic interests, strengths and background relevant to the programme(s)
• Areas of specific interest within the programme(s)
• Academic preparedness for the programme(s)
• Motivation for undertaking the programme(s)
• Academic ambitions and/or research interests related to the programme(s)
• Any professional aspirations, and how academic work within the programme(s) might help you realise such aspirations
• Other relevant information, such as additional reading or research, work or other relevant experience that has informed your decision to apply for the particular programme(s)

Personal Statement for Business Marketing

Currently, the world is experiencing profound changes in economics and the constant perfection of market mechanisms and systems. Marketing skills are essential in this fast-growing digital world, where every business is looking for ways to showcase its brand. This cannot be achieved without an effective marketing strategy, as a result, the demand for marketing experts continues to skyrocket. Business Marketing is not a course that only concerns sales personnel or representatives. Whether you are a medical doctor, teacher, engineer, pastor, imam, or plumber, you need marketing skills to influence people and attract them to what you offer. We all need marketing skills regardless of our field of specialization. When you take a look at Tesla’s promotion model, you will think that marketing is not involved but Tesla builds unique products and explains how they change the way we live in an effective marketing approach. My interest in marketing stems from growing up in an entrepreneurial family where I was constantly exposed to discussions about all aspects of enterprises, from new business ideas to running a firm efficiently and managing projects. You can say that it runs in my blood. To crown it all, I am to take up the position of a Project Manager in my family business. I believe that a master’s in business marketing will boost my skills and give me the much-needed wisdom and expertise to be the best project manager for my family business.
