About Keeping it Real Foundation:

Keeping It Real (KIR) Foundation was established in 2010 as a disability inclusive, social impact and nongovernmental organization (RC 916541) with a tax-exemption status. KIR Foundation commenced operations in Lagos in 2011. The organization currently has its headquarters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, a Liaison Officer in Lagos and partnerships with various non-profit organizations and coalitions. KIR Foundation addresses educational and socio-economic issues with the purpose of inspiring change through learning. The organization gives books, teaches skills and advocates the rights of its beneficiaries, especially those with disabilities with the objective of breaking the cycle of illiteracy, poverty, inequality and replacing it with a new cycle of empowerment, opportunity, ethical and transformative servant leadership.

All KIR Foundation’s projects under the following thematic areas; Education, Advocacy, Capacity and Sustainable Development are strategically aligned to promoting and implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations; especially SDGs 1,4,5,8,10 and 17.

2 vacant positions to be filled

Responsibilities:

  1. Work with other team members on projects
  2. Assist  and participate in fund raising
  3. Perform administrative duties and troubleshoot
  4. Present innovative ideas to the rest of the team and be willing to own them.
  5. Participate in meetings and plenary sessions to discuss matters of interest for the organization as a whole
  6. Participate and support all the activities organized and promoted by the organization
  7. Build new working relationships with relevant stakeholders
  8. Raise awareness about the organization and elicit interest in KIR Foundation’s projects
  9. 9.Increase the overall performance of KIR Foundation and impact in the community
  10. Constantly learn, improve and share knowledge with team members and stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate Must Have:

  • Good communication skills and be able to give proper feedback
  • The ability to understand and adapt to the hands-on delivery of services offered by the organisation
  • The capability to collaborate with diverse groups, both internal and external.
  • A genuine authenticity and empathetic outlook to life
  • Self-motivation / self-starter attitude.
  • An approach to work that is resourceful and innovative.
  • A long-term commitment to and passion for mission-driven work.
  • The Millennial advantage
  • Great ICT and social media skills
  • NYSC Certificate and did community service during NYSC
  • Easy access to work (i.e must live within Peter Odili,  Abuloma, Amadi- Ama, Trans-Amadi, Rumubiakani, Rumuomasi, Elekahia, Elelenwo, Woji, Rumuola, D/Line, Old GRA, Aggrey Road,  and Ogbunabali)

Location:

Amadi-Ama Road Federal Housing Estate, along Peter Odili Rd, Port Harcourt.

Salary:

Based on Negotiation

Before Employment:

1. First 2 weeks will be pre-employment probation.
