Responsible for the procurement and security of stock and non-stock items held in the main and bulk stores for all Hospitals and any associated Community Sites at St john’s and West Lothian.
To carry out a broad range of tasks and duties some of which are complex and non-routine. To issue all materials and stock to tradespersons and update all stock and procurement systems. This includes the stock control of hazardous substances in accordance with COSHH guidelines.
Sourcing and obtaining quotations from suppliers for stock and non-stock specialist items ensuring that all services and goods are procured at best value for the organisation.
They will also be responsible for the security of all items and materials within the stores environment.
