The JBS Dinmore Processing Plant is the largest beef facility in the southern hemisphere. Located near Ipswich, in southeast Queensland, the facility has a daily production ability of 3,400 cattle and employs approximately 1,500 people. Cattle are sourced from the finest cattle producing regions to produce a diverse range of pasture fed and grain beef products, from commodity to premium. The renowned AMH brand, the award-winning Yardstick, the highly marbled grain fed Pure Prime and our state’s brand, Queenslander Beef and more are all produced at Dinmore.

About the Role

Due to the expansion of JBS Dinmore’s afternoon shift, this is a great opportunity to start your JBS career as an experienced Skilled Meat Worker. With the backing of a global organisation, the opportunities are endless. It’s up to you how far you go!!

Work schedule for 2024:

  • Morning shift Monday to Thursday from 5.00am – 3.00pm daily
  • Afternoon shift Monday to Thursday from 3.00pm -1.00am daily

REMUNERATION

  • Entry level $25.80 base per hour plus a night shift allowance 
  • Level 2 Bone Room – $36.17 base per hour plus a shift allowance of 7.5% for afternoon shift
  • Level 2 Slaughter Floor $36.54 base per hour plus a shift allowance of 7.5% for afternoon shift
  • Level 1 Bone Room (One Cut) $37.58 base per hour plus a shift allowance of 7.5% for afternoon shift
  • Level 1 Slaughter Floor $37.94 base per hour plus a shift allowance of 7.5% for afternoon shift
  • Level 1 Bone Room (Full Chain) $38.21 base per hour plus a shift allowance of 7.5% for afternoon shift

About You

  • Minimum 2 years demonstrated experience in Boning, Slicing or Slaughtering duties
  • Relevant qualification (Cert 2/3 Meat processing) advantageous but not essential
  • Knowledge and understanding of different rotations
  • Proven high level of knife sharpening skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of Quality Requirements
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to partner with supervisors on improving daily duties
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug test
