Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a full time, senior General Maintenance person to join our team at Clonakilty Park Hotel. The role will require midweek and weekend working.

Overview of Role:
Complete general maintenance on a daily basis - from changing light bulbs to fixing a leaky tap - making the stay for our guests perfect every time.
Plan & implement preventative maintenance measures.
Ensure all maintenance stores are kept Safe, always clean & organised.
Attend to all types of repairs and maintenance work in the hotel complex and guest rooms.
Record all daily work completed
Work with external contractors, liaising with them to ensure high standards and that health and safety for our guests is never compromised.
To reactively alter procedures and fix any procedures as a result of any reported incidents in order to reduce risk and prevent this incident reoccurring.
To have a positive attitude towards fixing problems and delivering a high quality of workmanship.

The Ideal Candidate: 
Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment and be standards driven working within a hotel complex.
Previous history of painting and decorating required
Flexibility in day-to-day job demands, remain focused when priorities and practices changes.
Excellent organisational skills.
Electric, carpentry and or plumbing competency would be advantageous.
Excellent work history in maintenance, 2-3 years ideally
A good knowledge of Health and Safety.
Relevant Qualifications in this area.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Have flexibility regarding working hours
Have a good command of the English Language
