If you answer yes, then we’re looking for you to join us at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay Trust.An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic Frailty Nurses to join our dynamic Frailty Team. This is a developing service and we are searching for motivated and enthusiastic individuals. Ideally you would have a background in Frailty or Elderly Care however we welcome applications from any interested candidates.We are looking for Registered Nurses who deliver compassionate, professional, skilled and effective person centred, evidence based nursing care by working within a multidisciplinary team, developing collaborative, needs based care plans through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.We strive to achieve the best possible outcomes and experiences for our patients and for our staff and we are seeking nurses with those same qualities to continue to deliver the great care that we strive to provide every day.We work closely as an MDT with Therapists, Doctors, Nursing staff and Pharmacy. We try to involve patients and their relatives in their care as much as possible.There are opportunities to develop your confidence and your clinical skills in a supportive environment, to building and extend your existing managerial and clinical knowledge.We are committed to continuing professional development of our staff and as part of our Care of the Elderly workforce you will have excellent opportunities to specialise in many different areas such as Frailty, palliative care, dementia care, and complex discharge planning.We operate from three main hospitals – Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.Our community services for adults are provided in people’s homes, community centres, clinics, GP Practices, community hospitals and our main hospitals.
