Job Description

he Thunder Bay District Health Unit is seeking a full-time contract (from April 17, 2023 – November 8, 2024) Public Health Nurse in the Sexual Health Program.

Reporting to the Manager of Sexual Health, Street Outreach & Harm Reduction programs, as a Public Health Nurse in the Sexual Health program you will demonstrate clinical and counseling skills to the adolescent population, and provide education to individuals and groups.

Working in a multi-disciplinary environment you will have excellent knowledge of sexual health issues including birth control methods, sexually transmitted infections, and HIV/AIDS. In addition, you will work with community partners to ensure the provision of related health promotion activities.
