About the role
Join the team at Abi Hearing as a part-time Medical Receptionist based in North Melbourne, VIC (2 days) a week and (1 day) a week from Williamstown VIC 3016. In this key administrative role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our patients and supporting the smooth running of our medical practice.
What you’ll be doing
- Greeting and welcoming patients to the clinic
- Answering and managing telephone enquiries
- Scheduling appointments and managing the appointment calendar
- Preparing patient files and documentation
- Assisting with billing, invoicing and other financial tasks
- Maintaining the reception and waiting areas in a neat and tidy manner
- Providing general administrative support to the clinical team as required
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in a medical reception or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with patients, clinicians and other stakeholders
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using medical software and computer systems
- Compassionate and empathetic approach when dealing with patients
- Flexible and adaptable with a willingness to learn and take on new tasks
