IMMEDIATE PLACEMENT

Placing Live-in Aides for over 38 years since 1985. We are A+ rated and Best of Home Care award winning agency. We are seeking an experienced Certified Home Health Aide licensed from NJ to work with a female patient located in Plainfield NJ. This is a FULL-TIME LIVE-IN CASE. The patient has early onset Dementia but is physically fit. Needs help with coordinating her day. The position requires an aide with very good cooking skills. Must be able to make fresh foods and follow a menu, be creative and flexible. Patient has a small dog and likes to go for walks with the dog and you must accompany the patient on the walks, therefore must be ok with a dog in the house. Patient family is involved and they also have a Geriatric Care Manager involved for additional support so must be good at communication. This job is available immediately for the right candidate. Responsibilities (these are some of the primary tasks involved)

  • Assist patients with their activities of daily living such as ambulation, dressing, bathing, toileting and personal hygiene
  • Follow the care plan of our RN supervisor
  • Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
  • Report changes in patient condition or behavior
  • Prepare meals following patient nutritional requirements and preferences
  • Provide light house-keeping and laundry
  • Monitor for safety
  • Provide companionship
  • Complete 12 hours of in-service training per year
  • Annual competency evaluation by our RN

Qualifications

  • 1 year of live-in care experience
  • Must be NJ Certified Home Health Aide
  • Must have legal work authorization for the United States
  • Good Cooking Skills
  • Must be in good health and satisfy our medical requirements
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions 
  • Take pride in providing high quality care
