About the company:
EMT Demolition works across the Wellington region on a variety of commercial and residential demolition projects. EMT is a reputable quality demolition company with a long-standing client base. 

The owner of EMT Demolition has had a long-standing career in large construction projects, having worked on many projects of significance across New Zealand. Alongside growing the demolition works, the owner intends to pursue civil contracting work.

The role

We are seeking skilled labourers and truck drivers to join our hardworking and growing team. If you have a strong work ethic and can adapt to different physical tasks, we want to hear from you! 

About the roles and key responsibilities: 

  • Fixed term contracts but with opportunity to move to permanent. Immediate start available.  
  • Assist with various manual labour tasks on demolition & construction sites.
  • General demolition and truck driving duties.
  • Assist in ensuring projects are completed on time and to high quality and safety standards.
  • Operate hand and power tools as required.
  • Communicate with the Foreman on progress of work and escalate any potential issues early.

About you:

  • Having a Class 2 full license is preferred, but not essential. The applicant must have a Class 1 Full License and be willing to progress to Class 2.
  • Strong, fit and hardworking! 
  • Self – motivated and can work unsupervised (this is essential).
  • Energetic and brings a positive attitude.
  • Willing team player, working collaboratively with team members, site managers and our clients to contribute to a positive culture.
