This position reports to
IS Security Effectiveness Manager
Your responsibilities
- Operations/Services: Performance Monitoring and Status Reporting: Review the effectiveness of security measures on an ongoing basis, establish and oversee internal and external information delivery channels, and monitor security skills coverage
- Quality Monitoring of Strategic Security Partners: Monitor the service operations of service providers, manage performance, handle escalations, and monitor the effectiveness of security tools
- Documentation and Processes Monitoring: Identify gaps in services documentation and processes, manage improvements, and evaluate the delivery of the services roadmap
- Service Delivery: Ensure that the organization’s information security services are delivered effectively and efficiently
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, implement new processes and procedures, and continuously monitor their effectiveness
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate with stakeholders, including senior management, customers, and external partners, to keep them informed about service delivery and to ensure that it is integrated into the overall business strategy
- Continuous Service Monitoring and Improvement: Monitor the performance of service delivery and implement changes as needed to improve service effectiveness and efficiency
- Governance, IS Compliance: Executes, for assigned tasks, all actions in IS processes according to agreed RACI specification
- Is responsible to act in compliance with Corporate IS Regulation and IS Policies; with ABB Regulations and ABB Guidelines of which accountability and responsibility for this position are derived; and with any other Internal Control regulations that may be assigned
- Strategy: Consults and gives advice to ensure others comply with ABB IS Security Strategy
- Information and Technology: On assignment and request identifies, proposes, advises and implements IS services, sharing knowledge using understanding of existing technology and business requirements
- Best Practice & Knowledge sharing: Actively shares up to date knowledge regarding new and emerging IS technology and industry practices, bringing learning into ABB, all within in the area of responsibility
Your background
- Master’s in IT, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent with minimum of 10 years of experience
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT)
- Demonstrates leadership and effective communication both formal and informal
- An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving with strong attention to detail
- Strong IT skills and knowledge including hardware, software and networks
- Good management skills for interaction with service provider and internal organization, a team player and quick learner
- Extensive knowledge of security tools, techniques & methodologies
- Fluent in English language (spoken and written)
- Experienced in working in outsourced environment
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of IT systems
- Degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field is preferred
- Certification in information security, such as the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification, is a plus
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) preferred
- GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) preferred
- A deep understanding on how hackers work and ability to keep up with the fast pace of change in the criminal cyber-underworld
