A number of exciting opportunities have become available at a well-established, successful and respected family-owned farming business with sites across the UK. We are the largest grower and distributor of turf in the UK and also run a successful arable enterprise as well as growing sedum and wildflower mat products. Turf is grown at the two farms located in and around Norfolk and Lancashire and our arable and mat products enterprises are based at the Norfolk farm. We run a large fleet of machinery including specialist turf, potato and other agricultural machinery.

All opportunities are at our Feltwell (Norfolk) farm and comprises 1,445 ha in total of mat products, arable and turf grown on prime soils around Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.

We are looking for punctual, reliable and hard-working individuals who wish to pursue a career in the horticultural industry. All applicants are expected to be motivated and conscientious team players prepared to help with all field operations.

We are seeking the following candidates.

General Farm Workers to be based primarily within out mat products team

We are seeking candidates who will primarily harvest, irrigate, cultivate and maintain our Wildflower and Sedum mat products but are multi-skilled and able to be involved in all aspects of the farm, including the arable operations as well as turf production and maintenance as and when required. You will need some or all of the following:

-Tractor driving skills
– Ability to operate a forklift
– A love of working outdoors as this role involves a significant proportion of manual labour
– Confidence/previous experience in overseeing small teams of agency labour
– Prior agricultural experience preferable
– A reasonable level of numeracy for record-keeping
– An eye for detail as precision is an essential part of this job
– Some experience of machinery maintenance
– A willingness to learn the skills to harvest and grow our specialist products to a high standard
