FRS Recruitment is now seeking a ‘Foreman Fencing Manager’ to work as part of a team to develop & grow our Contract & Retail Fencing Business in the East/Southeast of Ireland. Experience in the Fencing / Construction sectors a definite advantage. The job involves pricing and managing work along with the use of IT systems so prior experience in this area is important.

Job Title: Fencing Manager.

Reporting to: Regional Fencing Manager

Location: Based in Tinahely but covering Wicklow / Wexford & South Dublin

Working Hours: 8-30am to 5pm Monday- Friday. This role requires flexibility due to the nature of the business.

The Role

  • The successful candidate will be involved in the day-to-day management of all Operational aspects of the Contract & Retail Fencing Business in the area.
  • Proactively develop and grow the business along a profitable path.
  • Provide positive effective leadership for the staff & and on-site workers.
  • Ensure compliance with H&S, Employment, and other legislation.
  • Effective use of the company’s IT Systems (Stock / pricing Systems & CRM).
  • Responsibility for Equipment, machinery, and vehicles in the region.
  • Involved in Debtor management in the region.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the company’s other Business Units operating out of the same premises.
  • Work closely with our customers and staff to strengthen the core of our Business.
  • Proactively participate in Professional development and training and nurture a training & development ethos with all your staff.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for Pricing Fencing contracts in the region.
  • Conducting site surveys and pricing fencing contracts .
  • Recruiting & Interviewing candidates for Staff positions.
  • Organise training of onsite workers.
  • Managing sub-contractors.
  • Responsible for Quality control.
  • Attendance at Trade Shows & Sales Events for the promotion of the business.
  • Visiting potential customers to promote the business.
  • Promotion of the business through traditional advertising, social media, and liaising with the company’s Marketing department.
  • Adapt the existing range of services and work on developing possible new services & products in conjunction with the company’s national team of managers

The Candidate

  • 5 + years industry background in Fencing or Construction or Agri/Project Management
  • Strong background in coordination working with key stakeholders
  • Strong people management background
  • Excellent communication skills and strong people person
  • Strong IT experience and use of systems and soft wares, MS Suite, Stock Management tools and CRM
  • Strong customer service background
