Job Description

Our current factory manager has sought new challenges and we are therefore looking for his successor. To lead and further develop Nortura’s factory in Steinkjer, we are looking for a committed, future-oriented and results-oriented factory manager. The person we are looking for must have a strong drive and ownership within the area of ​​Continuous Improvement/LEAN Production.

Together with skilled employees, you will be responsible for creating results by improving and optimizing all production processes where HSE, animal welfare, quality and food safety are the foundation for all activity. Nortura Steinkjer’s main activity is the slaughter of pigs and has approximately 95 permanent employees.

For the right person, we can offer varied, exciting and challenging tasks. As manager of Nortura Steinkjer, you will be part of a skilled and cooperative leadership team in Nortura, whose main task is to deliver results that are best for Nortura’s bottom line. 


The position’s main tasks will be to

  • lead and develop the factory in such a way that the goals in HSE, animal welfare, quality, delivery performance, rate of improvement and economy are achieved
  • develop the improvement work through standardizing and improving all processes
  • optimize the value chain and create a common overall understanding from customer to farmer
  • optimize and organize for good performance and ensure a high rate of completion
  • further develop the business for the good of Nortura in close cooperation with employees and shop stewards
  • look after and develop human and material resources
  • work towards a smarter industry where people and technology work together

We are looking for you who have

  • experience from improvement work / Lean production
  • relevant education in food and/or technology, as well as having a good understanding of economics. Real competence through relevant managerial experience and achieved results can compensate for a lack of formal education
