CARE GIVER

Job Description

Reports to: RN Supervisor

New York Comprehensive Home Care is a fully licensed Home Care Agency serving the NY Metropolitan area. We are committed to providing excellent care for our clients in the comfort of their home. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers for our New York City Location.

Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of an RN, follows the established CarePlan tailored to the client’s needs. This includes assistance with bathing and dressing, taking care of household chores, preparing meals, and addressing needs related to disabilities, disease, impairments, and helps manage client medications. Communicate and document changes as needed and directed by the RN Supervisor or as stated in the CarePlan.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and providing related patient care
  • Understanding of personal care techniques, including the principles of infection control
  • Sensitivity to the differences in patient needs that may arise from cultural or ethnic differences
  • Ability to read, understand, and print simple instructions and notes
  • Ability to speak clearly so others can understand
  • Prior caregiver experience
  • Basic computer skills and/or clerical experience
  • Bilingual Preferred

Requirements:

  • Successful Health Clearance within a year
  • Successful drug & background screening completion
  • Successful reference verification
  • Active NYS HHA Certification
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Working knowledge of smartphone and apps
  • Use of a personal email account

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $17.00 – $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 12 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • New York, NY: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

License/Certification:

  • New York state HHA or PCA certification (Required)

Shift availability:

  • Day Shift (Preferred)
  • Night Shift (Preferred)
  • Overnight Shift (Preferred)
