Salary Range: $45,000 – $60,000 / year

What we’re looking for:
We are looking to add an Accounting Associate to our Accounting team in our New York Corporate Office. Our Accounting team is small but mighty. This individual must have at least two years of accounting related experience. The individual must possess a skill set that allows for the ability to work independently and with team members in achieving the common goals of the organization.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Scanning and cataloging various accounting documents.
  • Maintaining document tracking sheets.
  • Mailing checks.
  • Bank deposits.
  • Scanning of checks using bank scanner.
  • Data entry to spreadsheets and accounting database.
  • Downloading and saving reports from accounting database.
  • American Express expense report processing through accounting database.
  • Special projects as requested.
  • Maintain a collaborative and working rapport with team members, residents, vendors, investors, lenders, and other key third parties.
  • Consistently make a conscious and positive impact on all individuals that your Domain footprint reaches and beyond.
  • Data entry, preparing accounting reports, and reconciling accounts to the corporate accounting staff.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications Required:

  • Associate’s degree required. College courses in accounting preferred.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Must be able to follow standard filing procedures.
  • High attention to detail, professional attitude, reliable.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel / Word, proficiency in Outlook.
  • Positive and friendly attitude with a willingness to learn and teach.
  • Commitment to seeking excellence and innovation.
  • Must possess strong work ethics, organizational skills, and time management skills.
  • Solid problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner.

Physical Demands:

  • This position involves sitting for extended periods of time, hearing, and talking.
  • May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and viewing computer monitor for extended periods of time.
  • Involves manual dexterity for using keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.

Work Hour Requirements:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on needs of the property as well as the company needs.
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
